About the Position:

 

We are looking for a North America Engineering Controller to join the Electronics Finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance North America.
 

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes Mexico.
 

As the North America Engineering Controller at Marelli, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes specific to the engineering and project management functions. This role ensures that financial goals are met and supports strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial insights.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for the engineering and project management teams.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations to support decision-making processes.
  2. Cost Management:
    • Monitor and control project costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Collaborate with project managers to evaluate project profitability and cost management strategies.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  4. Strategic Support:
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities and risks.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering, project management, and other business units to align financial objectives with business goals.
    • Support audits and internal controls by providing necessary documentation and insights.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting and budget management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Bachelor Degree in finance.
  • Proficiency in English (regular international meetings).

 

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • Experience in the automotive or electronics industry.
  • Knowledge of project management practices and methodologies.
  • CPA or other relevant financial certification.
  • Master's Degree in finance
