About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Indirect Material Specialist to join the Green Technologies Purchasing team, reporting directly to the NAFTA Purchasing Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
 

As the Indirect Material Specialistat Marelli, you will be responsible to provide support to the plant in the purchasing activities for indirect purchases and service contract.

 

Your Responsibilities will be:

•Supplier selection
•Quotes analysis
•Develop short and long term cost reduction projects
•Consolidation and rationalization of the supplier panel
•Analyse and approve the requisitions in the system
•Indirect material and service contracts purchasing procedures control
•Issue purchase orders in the system
•Control and follow up of the suppliers service performance
•Keep updated the purchasing system
•Keep updated the PDS
•Monthly analysis and report of the PPI
•Feedback and coordination of the supplier service with the requester
•Contract negotiations especially for services
•Continuous communication with the suppliers
•Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions (those applicable)
•File, control and maintain the documentation generated
•All those activities generated as a result od changes, requirements and / or improvement in the process of the applicable area
•Participate in the daily, weekly and monthly meeting of the department

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • EDUCATION (SCHOOL/SPECIALIZATION): Economics or Engineering Degree
  • LANGUAGES: English fluent, additional language is preferred
  • EXPERIENCES: 3 years in an International Purchasing (depending on Commodity) or Logistics Organization, preferable in automotive sector ; Consolidated experience in Purchasing Indirect category

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office, with expert knowledge of Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel. Functional expertise of SAP is considered as a plus
  • Ability to work effectively within a global matrixed organization as a trusted member of a multicultural team, across multiple locations and Countries
  • Problem-solving and analysis techniques, good communication skills (presentation, written, verbal). Commercial and Technical Negotiation Skills, Mediation skills, relationship building, and conflict management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with Travel Availability

Defining and ensuring the deployment Indirect (Opex and Capex) Commodity strategy, in alignment with Global Commodity Manager and Regional Commodity.
