About the Position:
We are looking for a Logistics Engineer to join the Electronic Systems Plant team, reporting directly to the Plant Logistics and Supply Chain Manager.
This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
As the Logistics Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain and logistics operations of the plant, with a focus on designing and implementing efficient systems to ensure the smooth flow of products from suppliers to customers.
Your Responsibilities will be:

Logistics System Design: Develop and implement logistics systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Analyze current logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

Data Analysis and Optimization: Utilize data analysis to model transportation and warehousing strategies. Apply optimization techniques to enhance logistics processes, including routing, warehousing, and inventory management.

Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to align logistics plans with overall business goals. Ensure seamless integration between supply chain partners and internal departments.

Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement new technologies, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS). Stay updated with technological advancements and propose system upgrades or changes.

Cost Management: Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate logistics projects and initiatives. Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service quality.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Implement safety standards and conduct regular audits to mitigate risks.

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean principles and problem-solving techniques. Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and effectiveness of logistics operations.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain engineering, with a proven track record in optimizing logistics operations.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts, transportation methods, and warehouse operations.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Familiarity with logistics technologies, such as TMS and WMS.
