About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Material Planner to join the Electronic Systems Plant Supply Chain and Logistics team, reporting directly to the Materials Management Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
 

As the Material Planner at Marelli, you will be responsible for ensuring a steady flow of materials required for the production processes at our Electronics plant. This role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating materials to optimize production efficiency while maintaining quality and cost targets. The Material Planner will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders to forecast needs and manage inventory levels, ensuring on-time production and delivery.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Develop, implement, and manage materials planning processes and strategies to support production schedules.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and customer orders to create purchasing and production plans.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, and resolve any issues related to supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, perform regular audits, and initiate necessary actions to prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Collaborate with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize workflow and improve material flow and efficiency.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and production schedules.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of material planning parameters, such as safety stock, lead time, and reorder points.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Material Planner or in a similar role within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of materials requirement planning (MRP) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in Supply Chain.
