About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Process Launch Management Engineer to join the Operations team at the Electronic Systems Aguascalientes Plant, reporting directly to the PLM Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
 

As the PLM Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible for managing new products' manufacturing simultaneous engineering, industrialization and launch activities through the supervision of the whole process from the concept to the early life of the production, ensuring the best manufacturability and, in the meanwhile, assuring to achieve the targets for the cost, quality and time to market.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Plan project technical activities and staffing.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing team activities and resources involved in the project.
  • Satisfy customer requirements and specifications. Ensure compliance with norms, procedures and guidelines.
  • Guarantee the achievement of objectives in terms of quality, costs and timing.
  • Ensure that specific manufacturing key deliverables are implemented to ensure the approval of the project gates.
  • Track and submit reports on project progress.
  • Support the Project Manager with aligning budget and resources needs and managing the specific project risks.
  • Support the Project Manager with RfQ (Request for Quotation) activities by providing and continuously updating Industrial Cost and CAPEX.
  • Support the Project Manager in the Product Change Requests, mitigating quality, cost and timing impact.
  • Support the deployment of standard methodologies, libraries, tools and solutions.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Deep knowledge of IATF16949 requirements, and related tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, APQP…), and their application.
  • Problem solving and analytic tools and methodologies (FMEA, FTA ...).
  • Technical knowledge of production process
  • Project management knowledge and methods.
  • English: fluent.

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Degree in Engineering or Electronics.
  • Project governance tools.
  • Previous experience in the Automotive and/or Electronics business.

  • Leadership (capability to lead people, lead change and coordinate teams).
  • Strong capability to effectively manage relationships with peers, subordinates, upper management, customers, partners, suppliers etc.
  • Ability to solve conflictual situations.
  • Good planning and analytical skills.
