About the Position:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join the Interiors team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
This position is based at our office in Bowling Green, Ohio.
As the Production Supervisor at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....
Your Responsibilities will be:
Direct activities of team lead(s) and production technicians on shift in daily operation of production departments; coordinating all efforts to meet Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale targets; including enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
Shop floor coverage, including breaking out team members (working on-line), replenishment of parts, assisting team members, and providing support.
Ensure proper management through sound 5S programs.
Develop, advise, train, support and counsel subordinate group leaders and technicians.
Implement tools and programs that streamline and simplify processes.
Plan and monitor manpower requirements for manufacturing lines and department labor efficiencies.
Lead in problem-solving and troubleshooting with each production line and developing recovery and action plans to solve problems and/or issues.
Assist Management in overall planning such as capacity, new launches, etc.
Monitor personnel issues, absenteeism, tardiness and accident frequency of all operating departments.
Work with all departments (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to improve processes, meet scrap targets, and address customer concerns.
Communicate frequently with internal contacts and external contacts on various issues.
Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime as directed by management.
Other skills that we would welcome:
A high school diploma or GED.
An Advanced Degree in related discipline and four (4) plus years’ experience in related field -or- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and five (5) plus years’ experience in related field -or- Associates Degree in related discipline and seven (7) plus years’ experience in related field -or- Non-Degreed with seven (7) plus years’ experience in a related field.
Certification or license may be required in some areas.
Ability to work with integrated computer programs and/or applications (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software).
Strong communication (with all levels of the organization), administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
