About the Position:
The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing various manufacturing operations. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating employee, component, and equipment schedules to ensure adequate product quantities meet customer demand. The role also involves managing overtime, equipment maintenance, personnel records, and initiating corrective actions to achieve company goals. Additionally, the position includes conducting programs to motivate employees positively while ensuring adherence to company quality, quantity, and safety standards.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Evaluate and plan manpower according to production schedules to meet production needs.
- Review production processes and implement necessary countermeasures to meet demands.
- Organize and direct manufacturing staff, ensuring procedural compliance.
- Supervise workflow and monitor production quality.
- Manage shop floor activities, including developing Line Leads and providing instruction to hourly workers.
- Monitor, record, and report production data, such as scrap cost and overtime.
- Develop and maintain cross-training plans and training records for hourly team members.
- Troubleshoot quality, safety, and production issues daily.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments, such as Maintenance and Engineering.
- Manage goals related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
- Evaluate customer returns and conduct quality meetings.
- Supervise 3S/5S conditions and activities.
- Monitor inventory to meet shipping requirements.
- Maintain a union-free environment and communicate effectively with various contacts.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- An Advanced Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years, an Associate's Degree with 5+ years, or non-degreed with 7+ years of experience in a related field.
- Experience working with integrated computer programs and applications.
- Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment tests, including drug tests.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Other skills that we would welcome:
Intermediate to advanced skills in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation software.
