About the Position:

We are looking for the Head of Finance and Accounting to join the Finance team, reporting directly to the ELS Finance Japan & ASEAN.

This position is based at our office in Chonburi Thailand.
 

As the Head of Finance and Accounting at Marelli, you will be support ELS Finance Controller and Accounting.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Ensure full financial fiduciary responsibility for the legal entity in Thailand, incorporating strategic planning and financial oversight of legal entity to foster sustainable growth and regulatory compliance of the businesses. 
  • Act as primary financial representative in dealings with auditors, regulatory bodies, and public officials.
  • Leverage deep understanding, oversee & steer all finance processes across various divisions and organizations, including processes performed by Finance Business Services (FBS) in Jaipur/India to optimize financial performance and compliance.
  • Support plant operations management to drive site processes/control/financial improvement.
  • Support APAC financial controller to meet financial goals ethically and with adhering accounting compliance.
  • Able to balance job as a strategic business partner with operations management to continuously improve the business and managing plant accounting and financials.
  • Ensure financial internal controls / systems are robust, effective and comply with IFRS, SOX and applicable Thailand laws / regulations, as part of the internal and external audit processes.
  • Take proactive role in Accounting/Finance talent acquisition, career development, and retention for the Legal Entity and Plant Finance & Accounting team.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Oversea annual budgeting and planning, month end & year end reporting, and long-range investment planning for the business and for legal entity.
  • Prepare, review, and interpret financial analyzes.
  • Work closely with all counterparties in corporate finance and Internal Audit to ensure finance & accounting processes are efficient and in compliance with company policies, IFRS and SOX.
  • Provide quarterly review & audit schedules and support for external and internal audits.
  • Continuously review finance & accounting processes incl. processes performed by Finance Business Services (FBS) in Jaipur/India for efficiency and internal control improvements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of applicable legislation and guidance.
  • Responsible in related Treasury and Tax activities.
  • Anticipate and pro-actively address contemporary Controller related topics.
  • Assist in various controllership related activities.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration.
  • Professional in chartered accountant, CPA, ACCA (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong accounting knowledge of Thai GAAP and IFRS, problem resolution skills, and experience in accounting audits / taxation audits.
  • Experience in CPD, IFS ERP system, OneStream Financial Reporting
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skill, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership qualities, proactive thinking and analytical skills, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement .
  • Good command of English.
