About the Position:
We are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer to join the E&I Software Solutions Engineering Product Line, Electronic Systems team, reporting directly to the E&I Toolchain & Infrastructure Manager.
This position is based at our office in Cluj.
As the Infrastructure Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure to support software development and operations. He/She leverages DevOps practices to build and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure with tools like Terraform and Ansible, and ensure seamless software integration. The role also emphasizes security and compliance by conducting regular audits and implementing best practices. The Infrastructture Engineer must effectively communicate with stakeholders and propose innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and performance while continuously learning and adapting to new technologies.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable infrastructure to support software development and deployment.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to enhance stability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices in configuration management, release management, and system integration.
- Develop and implement integration strategies to seamlessly connect software applications and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring all systems communicate effectively and align with business needs.
- Document integration processes and setups to maintain comprehensive system records.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and product managers, to identify infrastructure requirements.
- Participate in architectural discussions and propose innovative solutions to improve application performance and reliability.
- Ensure infrastructure security through access controls, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assesments to safeguard systems and data.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native solutions.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of networking, server, and database technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, is a plus.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments.
