About the Position:
We are looking for a Commodity Manager to join the Electromechanics team, reporting directly to the Electromechanics Head of.
This position is based at our office in Italy.
As the Commodity Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for Motors&Fan and Electromechanic components. We are looking for a:
- Commodity Manager that must be Marelli’s competent, accountable and inspiring leading interface to the supplier market
- Strive to create sustainable value by integrating and managing external partners with the aim to generate competitive advantages for a sustainable growth in business and quality
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Develop, implement and monitor in alignment with the Divisions and Regions cross-functional commodity strategies reflecting and anticipating company needs, market and technology trends and guiding the organization on decisions to come.
- Form and manage a supplier panel providing at competitive conditions and controlled risks the access to new and/or needed technologies and required capacities.
- Define in respect of the commodity strategies supplier bid lists with BL/Region for new business opportunities and follow the sourcing process.
- Monitor and drive achievement of defined Purchasing KPI.
- Active risk management for defined commodities.
- Drive evaluation and qualification of new supplier (Supplier Risk Assessment).
- Contracts management.
- Lead budgeting, target definition and global negotiations.
- Strong interaction with China Region and China+1.
- Develop new suppliers exploring Asia market finding suppliers with better total cost than current ones (JE, NMB,…) and manage Global relationship responsibility for local suppliers (i.e. F&C), especially looking at Us-China tariff evolution.
- Support Marelli EMS organization

What Qualifications you will bring:
• EDUCATION (SCHOOL/SPECIALIZATION): ): Technical College Degree or Equivalent combination of Education and Experience . Preferred if graduated as Engineer.
• LANGUAGES: English fluent, additional language is preferred
• EXPERIENCES: 5+ years in an International Purchasing Organization (depending on Commodity)
Other skills that we would welcome:
• Additional technical requirements may be requested depending on the component family class to be managed. (Brush motors and brushless).
