About the Position:
We are looking for a Shop Manager to join the Electronics Division team, reporting directly to the Corbetta Plant Manager.
This position is based at our office in Corbetta.
As the Plant Shop Manager at Marelli, you will be Responsible for Shop Floor operations, guaranteeing the required performance level of the Production Programs in terms of safety, quality, delivery and costs. Responsible for achieving targets at shop level, planning activities and creating recovery plans when targets are not achieved.
Your Responsibilities will be:
• Guarantee the required performance level of the Production Programs in terms of safety, quality, delivery and costs, working in collaboration with all the technical and organizational Plant structures;
• be responsible for MMS application in his/her Shop;
• Know and apply manufacturing standards, Genba Kanri (shop floor management methodology) and continuous improvement tools; foster purposefulness and motivation;
• Support Supervisors in their interactions with other functions (at Plant and BU level) to improve standards and expand solutions and preventive countermeasures;
• Provide feedback to the Plant Management to guarantee the continuous improvement of standards;
• Know, apply and manage indicators regarding safety and health at work;
• Know specific procedures, organizational and management references in order to cope with environmental emergencies;
• Contribute to the definition of the Plant and Shop budget;
• Know and apply saturation rules of the production equipment;
• Be responsible for the quality of the parts produced in the Shop;
• Manage quality control by taking responsibility for result achievement;
• Know and apply effective delegation mechanisms;
• Constantly collaborate with the Logistic Department for Production Levelling optimization and Packaging harmonization;
• Know transformation costs in every single phase of the production process and monitor all deviations.
What Qualifications you will bring:
Knowledge of Safety and environmental norms and procedures :
• Knowledge of environmental management procedures/manuals, ensurance of related archiving and updating;
• Knowledge of safety policies, general procedures, operating procedures and use of appropriate forms and records;
• Knowledge of proper interventions regarding safety at work or significant potential risks.
Knowledge of Performance indicators:
• Critical reading of the scorecard indicators regarding productivity and Quality control;
• Critical reading of indicators regarding costs (auxiliary material cost, maintenance costs, indirect material costs, scrap cost,…);
Knowledge of Products and Processes:
• Advanced knowledge of all processes related to the Shop;
• Knowledge of technical standards and manufacturing standards;
• Advanced knowledge of all products related to the Shop and their final destination;
• Knowledge of all production phases and adequate tools used in the Shop;
• Advanced knowledge of work cycles and methods related to the Shop.
Education: University degree or similar is a plus
