About the Position:
We are looking for a Purchasing Senior Manager.
This position could be based at our office in Corbetta (Milan area), Venaria Reale (Turin area) or Bologna.
As Purchasing Senior Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible to manage and develop an adequate suppliers panel about costs, quality, service level and performance in cooperation with Marelli Purchasing HQ according to specific business needs. Elaboration and implementation of purchasing strategy regarding the assigned business.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Management of supplier sourcing and selection process in alignment with internal technical reference and business needs;
- Definition and monitoring of specific Purchasing KPIs, with strong focus on business competitiveness;
- Strategic key or critical suppliers relationships management;
- Monitoring of purchasing procedures application inside the assigned business and elaboration of specific purchasing procedures, if needed, according to compliance and governance requirements;
- Authorization of purchasing orders and negotiation of business dedicated agreements according to delegation of authority;
- Budget release according to sales forecast and monitoring of the CPV and deviation to the target;
- Support in make or buy decision;
- Team management.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Previous experience in a Senior Purchasing role within a manufacturing environment; it's not a must to have a previous people management experience but it's requested an overall purchasing experience of at least 15 years;
- Good automotive components knowledge (especially about electronic and mechanical parts); a knowledge of similar electronics and mechanical parts will also be considered;
- Economics, Law or Engineering Degree;
- Ability to work under pressure matching challenging deadlines in a complex and very fast manufacturing and development industry;
- Balanced decision making and ability to interface at all levels of the organization;
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills;
- Atittude to design and implement purchasing strategy according to business needs with an hands-on approach;
- Fluent Italian and English languages knowledge;
- Availability to travel cross sites and occasionally to suppliers.
