About the Position:

 

We are looking for a SW System Architect to join the Electronics Business team.
 

This position is based at our office in Corbetta (MI) or Torino.
 

As the SW System Architect at Marelli, you will be responsible to: 

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Monitor technology trends on SW functionalities also comparing proposals from different vendors.
  • Specify and to select the basic SW technologies needed to achieve the target performances and to ensure the best cost/performance compromise.
  • Define and to document the functional repartition between HW and SW in cooperation with HW System Architect.
  • Elaborate internal System Requirements related to SW in cooperation with the System Requirement Engineer and HW System Architect
  • Model the System at functional and SW level, also allocating System Requirements to the SW System Blocks
  • Participate when requested to the meetings with the customer supporting the Technical Project Manager (TPM) and SW Project Leader on technical discussion.
  • Provide governance in the SW teams about different implementation proposals
  • Support the Functional Safety Management Team in the technical safety concept definition.
  • Support the SW development team during review and implementation of critical requirements
  • Coordinate the SW Architecture activity and to monitor its progress
  • Estimate System performances also defining and using suitable models, in order to define the optimal SW resources budget 

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Requirements management tools knowledge (e.g. DOORS)
  • System Architecture design
  • Architecture modeling methodologies and tools
  • Analytic tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, FTA)
  • Capability to effectively design and use multiprocessor architectures
  • Product Development Standard Processes (PDH)
  • Quality System knowledge
  • Software Design
  • Operating Systems & concurrent programming
  • Object oriented  code development
  • Functional Safety standard and design rules (ISO 26262) knowledge
  • Familiarity with techniques to monitor system/modules performances, identify bottlenecks, optimize performances
  • Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence tools) knowledge

Language Skills

  • Advanced written and spoken English
  • Basic spoken Italian (not mandatory)

Education & Former Experience

  • Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree.
  • Experience on SW product development for the overall life cycle (from RFQ phase to Production follow up).
  • More than 8 years-experience of embedded real time electronic product development with high level of SW contents.
  • The above competences have to be maturated in automotive area or other large-scale markets
  • Experienced in planning, monitoring and control activities (Project Management & Tools)
