About the Position:

 

We are looking for a [APAC, GBS Purchasing Senior Specialist]  to join the [GBS Purchasing] team, reporting directly to the [APAC, GBS Purchasing Manager] .

This position is based at our office in [Dalian].
 

As the [APAC, GBS Purchasing Senior Specialist] at Marelli, you will ensures smooth daily operations of the shared service PD function including timely react on request from internal / external customers and actively communicate with them with the defined GBS PD scope.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Support the sourcing and negotiation of current and potential suppliers by compiling and issuing RFQ’s for components parts and material as requested by Buyers.  May require coordination with other functions (DE) to understand BOM structure in order to develop the RFQ.
  • Initiate and complete the supplier setup process when new suppliers are added to the approved supplier list.
  • Maintain the current supplier list by updating name changes, address changes, supplier deletions.
  • Create requisitions to support Blanket and Tooling purchase orders
  • Track in-process requisitions from release through final approval and report out as needed.
  • Process PCA forms (Price Change Agreement) for new part price establishment and price updates to current parts.
  • Utilize GBOM to register parts to a specific supplier using commodity code, supplier code, and price, sending confirmation to the appropriate internal customer (DE or PD-PPO)
  • Maintain the Master Supplier Panel Database for all suppliers, including TS or ISO registration and expiration dates, whether MPA is on file, name of union (if applicable) and date of current contract expiration, etc.
  • Compile data for various weekly, monthly or annual reports such as market fluctuation and exchange rate fluctuation.
  • Initiate quarterly supplier ratings based on data from Quality (PPM), Production Control (on-time or late deliveries) and PD (cost reduction support).
  • Assist in the resolution of invoicing issues by directing each supplier concern to the appropriate Buyer or escalate to management when appropriate.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • EDUCATION (SCHOOL/SPECIALIZATION): University degree in business administration or adequate professional experience focusing on Purchasing
  • LANGUAGES: Proficient English in speaking and writing
  • EXPERIENCES: 2.5+ years’ experience in the Purchasing department

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • MS-Office (MS Excel – advanced – tables, charts, formulas, pivot tables, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint),  ERP experience is a must (IFS,BPCS, IFS Radley, SAP)
  • Willing to develop and learn, Collaborative, Team player, Customer and result oriented, Proactive attitude, Flexibility,
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills and ability to interpret data to various levels
  • Plan, think and make decisions in strategic context
  • Participation in transition or special projects
  • Ability to deliver results in and dynamic environment with competing priorities.
