About the Position:
We are looking for a Engine Calibration Engineer to join the Propulsion team, reporting directly to the Product Development Manager.
This position is based at our office in Pune.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for complete Engine control software calibration and its Sub systems and validation
- Good Experience in Torque Structure, Air charge, Transient, Drivability, Idle Speed Control etc.
- Experience in Fuel Injection parameters, Boost control, Emissions, EOBD, EGR, SCR etc.
- Environmental trials support for customer to meet the vehicle performance targets through Engine calibration optimization in varying environmental condition
- Responsible for calibration data management, calibration integration & release to customer
- CAN database verification / mapping during project development phase
- Meeting the customer requirements on vehicle roll out/launch, base engine calibration, emissions, fuel economy, performance, climatic testing, etc.
- Customer Interaction on daily / weekly basis to understand vehicle / bench validation status and SW bugs.
- Customer reported defects needs to be validated and JIRA ticket to be created for internal / external tracking purpose.
- Responsible to calibrate and validate diagnostics, EOBD & functional safety concepts
- Customer interface for problem solving in industrialization, necessary support to internal and external customers.
- To work on the new technology like BS-6 updates (Café etc.) / Hybrids / AMT / DCT/ EV’s.
- Travel to customer location to support development activities
What Qualifications you will bring:
Electronics or Mechanical or Automobile Engineering Degree (preferably Master’s)
Other skills that we would welcome:
- In-depth knowledge of Engine /Transmission /Vehicle / Emissions standard / EV’s
- Good knowledge/ Hands on experience of tools like INCA/ VISU/ Canoe/ Matlab/ ETAS tools
- Knowledge of vehicle integration, vehicle level functions, usage of PC and office automation tool
- Knowledge on CAN protocols, UDS services, IVN and diagnostics specifications
- Capability to understand the system architecture & functional requirements
- Leadership and cross functional team handling approach
- Knowledge in SW development process and quality assurance activities, ideally in automotive domain
- Knowledge in verification techniques & quality process
- Strong communication skills and pro-active attitude
Expectations from you in this position:

5-7 years of experience in Powertrain (engine or transmission) calibration domain
1 year of experience to manage activity at customer premises)
