About the Position:
We are looking for a Global Commodity Manager in Indirect Materials to join the Purchasing Department in Industrial & Corporate Function, reporting directly to the EMEA Indirect Purchasing Manager.
As the Global Commodity Manager at Marelli, you will support Indirect Materials Commodity Strategy Management. Continuous cooperation with Top- and Senior Management, Indirect Buyers, Commodity, Project team, GBS and Suppliers will be required.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Vendor Panel Maintenance:
- Form and maintain Marelli Supplier Panel providing at competitive conditions and controlled risks, the access to new and/or needed technologies and required.
- Support new supplier onboarding, and update onto Genesis Vendor Module (NDA, GTC, COC, ESG, ....)
- Perform Pre-Qualification process, including closing any Legal queries of vendor in documentation process with Legal team.
- Maintenance Contracts List: Keep updated tracking of Maintenance Contracts in Repository, and manage renewal / extension contracts with suppliers.
- Sourcing forecast demand & Commodity Strategy Application:
- Interfacing and aligning with Key Stakeholders, Group R&D and Division R&D teams, respectively Group T&I and Division T&I team, as well as Division Indirect Purchasing Coordinator, Indirect Buyer, Legal for the Sourcing forecast demand of all Engineering activities and Commodity Strategy Application.
- Represent Purchasing in the Senior Management committees focused on Engineering strategy, providing updates on Commodity Strategy and its execution, and ensuring effective adherence to Company strategy and needs.
- Build effectiveSupplier Relationship with Top management level of main partners, performing periodical reviews focused on cooperation development, gap bridging between actual and desired state.
- Intervene in escalation paths in case of major issues at Division (project) level
- RFQ Process & Analysis:
- Coordinating the process of RFQ + E-RFQ's in GENESIS portal performed by Divisions, attending the final rounds of negotiation and superseeding the process of Purchase order creation by Divisions and/or GBS
- Analyzing quotation and bids etc. by reviewing cost comparison sheet for each and every negotiation and enforcing the adherence to the defined Commodity strategy.
- Conducting negotiation rounds with suppliers to meet internal commercial targets, while ensuring quality and timing impacts.
- Support Divisions in the preparation of E-RS (Electronics recommendation sheet) & perform Nomination/delegate to Regional commodity teams.
- Legal Contracts / SOW Signatures with supplier: Lead contracts negotiations with supplier, Marelli stakeholders & Legal, until conclusion and final signatures.
- Cost Reduction Reporting:
- Identify, store in PDB and pursue opportunities of Cost Reduction for the Commodity, in a rolling process of continuous improvement.
- Drive the Implementation of actions in the System / generate Cost Reduction Saving reports.
- Monitor and drive achievement of defined Purchasing KPI and Annual targets
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Engineering or Economical background
- Fluent English written and spoken
Other skills that we would welcome:
- External Engineering or past experience of working in Auto OEM/Tier-1’s GCC(Global capability center)/TRD
- Commercials analysis & Negotiations experience
- Purchasing, Sales experience in the field of Professional services, or Finance experience would be an additional plus.
