About the Position:
We are looking for a BU India Supplier Quality Manager to join the Propulsion team, reporting directly to the Supplier Quality Head.
This position is based at our office in Manesar.
As the SQ Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for the Supplier Quality performance within across the region, from offer phase, during development phase and within the production phase.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Accountable toward the BU to gaurantee, for all procured external components, Supplier Selection, Advance Product Quality Planning execution with on time final approval.
- Deep experience and knowledge in Quality fields with exposure to automotive Quality standards and requirements: Requirement definition, Supplier selection, Advance Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Safe Launch Concept, Process Audit (VDA 6.3), verification of production capacity, Capability studies
- Knowledge of Sustainability process, Environmental and safety requirements, purchasing strategies
- Project Management knowledge
- The BU India SQ Manager is in charge to deploy the Commodity strategies, the Marelli Policies, Procedures and tools applicable to the Purchasing & Supplier Quality community within the Division
- The BU India SQ Manager is in charge to promote Supplier quality strategy, mindset and approach toward all division departments, cooperating primarely with Manufacturing, Quality, Program management and R&D. He or she is in charge to align Supplier Quality strategy with Purchasing strategy to reach the best performance from suppliers resulting in the best solution for Marelli products
- He or she is the key reference in case of internal escalations linked to suppliers. He or she will coordinate in the Region team of people in functional and direct way; therefore team building and distance management skills are mandatory ones.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Experience: In electronics field including semiconductors and displays being main core of Electronics division products.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Outstanding leadership and communication; outstanding mediation skills and intercultural approach; a deep understanding of quality standards such as IATF 16949; proficiency in using quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC); and a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive strategic initiatives
