About the Position:
We are looking for a Group Consolidation Manager to join the Finance & Controlling team, reporting directly to the Head of Group Reporting & Consolidation.
This position is based at our office in Gurugram, India.
As the Group Consolidation Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for coordinating the operation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of the Marelli Group, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS including support in the preparation of the IFRS notes to the consolidated financial statements.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Ensure accurate, robust, and timely monthly consolidation and consolidated financial statements in full accordance with IFRS on a monthly basis, validated through regular internal and external audits.
- Work with external auditors in half-year reviews and year-end audits and internal and external requests of analysis and explanation of consolidated financial statements.
- Drive a global consolidation closing process and calendar, timeline comparable with our listed peers.
- Work closely with the IFRS competence center to support the preparation of IFRS consolidated financial statements for external quarterly reporting and filing.
- Manage and ensure that the reporting and consolidation process is operated with operational excellence and with effective internal controls
- Perform deep-dive exercises with the consolidation operation team to improve accuracy and efficiency of process and reporting and consolidation system.
- Assist in the review of monthly group consolidation and the preparation of month-end close financial analysis for senior management by explaining key movements and variances.
- Technical handling of system-supported intercompany balance and profit eliminations and system-supported consolidations
- Execute consolidation journal entries and assessment and accounting of significant business transactions for the consolidated financial statements according to IFRS
- Communication and coordination with local finance teams at the consolidated subsidiaries globally, including working closely with Record-to-Report Teams to continuously enhance, improve, and centralize reporting and consolidation.
- Work in special projects and tasks for accounting and consolidation in corporate projects and transactions.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA (or equivalent qualified accountant) preferred
- Qualified accountant with 12 to 15 years of group consolidation accounting experience within a global multinational organization
- Strong IFRS technical accounting and consolidation experience and background combined with in-depth knowledge of a state-of-the-art reporting and consolidation process and system, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) plus process steering and leading experience.
- Working with external stakeholders, esp. auditors, consultants, and service providers.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and/or OneStream (OS) or equivalent complex financial reporting and consolidation systems.
- Track record of leading and driving process improvements with focus of automation of reporting and consolidation processes.
