About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Finance Planning & Analysis   to join the Finance AL&S team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Cd. Juarez Plant 1.
 

As the Finance Planning & Analysis at Marelli, you will be responsible.

Execute the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions within the organization to support strategic decision-making at the plant level, managing and optimizing all FP&A-related processes (monthly close, forecasts, budget, and strategic plans), and developing analytical and accounting tools and capabilities that add value to the team.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

FP&A Management

· Define deliverables, timelines, and sequence for all FP&A processes (Close, Forecast, R&O, Budget).

· Execute monthly close, weekly and monthly forecasts, annual budget, and strategic plans.

· Establish cadence and implement FP&A governance for all key processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Process and Tools Optimization

· Enhance current FP&A processes and tools; propose new solutions that increase efficiency and analytical value.

· Implement financial information systems to ensure data availability, organization, and timeliness.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

· Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast performance and support decision-making.

· Analyze financial data, perform variance analysis, and monitor relevant business KPIs.

· Prepare financial reports and dashboards for the Controlling department.

Team Management

· Coordinate external and internal audits in collaboration with Controlling.

Organizational Alignment

· Collaborate with operational departments to align financial objectives and provide strategic financial guidance.

· Respond to requests from central functions ensuring data is organized and available in a timely manner.

What Qualifications you will bring:

EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred). 8+ years of experience in the manufacturing or automotive industry. English full.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Experience managing teams and projects. Advanced proficiency in SAP and financial reporting systems (OneStream, HFM). Advanced Excel and presentation skills. Outstanding financial analysis; effective oral and written communication. Proven leadership in team management/inventory coordination. Fluency in English and Spanish.

SOFT SKILLS (COMPETENCIES): Leadership, positive attitude, solution- and results-oriented approach. Proactivity, patience, teamwork vision, adaptability to change, growth mindset, intellectual curiosity. Ability to operate in dynamic and challenging environments.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTING EDUCATION LEVEL: 12 years of progressive experience in FP&A roles, preferably in automotive or advanced manufacturing.

AUTHORITY

By nature and function, the FP&A Manager is empowered to halt processes if risks related to quality, safety, or environment are identified, until appropriate measures are implemented, and to report immediately to the corresponding management area.

VI. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

INTERNAL:

· Controlling team: To coordinate daily activities, review reports, and ensure process and standards compliance.

· Operational Departments: Manufacturing, Sales, Human Resources, and Plant, to understand financial impact and support budget planning.

· Internal Audit and Compliance: Facilitate audits, address findings, and guarantee regulatory and internal process compliance.

EXTERNAL:

· External auditors: Coordination for financial audits and regulatory compliance.

 DELEGATION

In the FP&A Manager’s absence, responsibility and accountability will be assumed by the Plant Controller.

5. Strategic Support:

  • Provide analyses for strategic projects or business cases, highlighting risks, opportunities, and potential financial impacts.

6. Continuous Process Improvement:

  • Identify and suggest ways to streamline financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes, leveraging technology where possible.

7. Clear Communication:

  • Present complex financial information in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

8. Adherence to Policies and Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.

9. Confidentiality & Professionalism:

  • Handle sensitive financial data with the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
