About the Position:

 

We are looking for a New Launch Project Engineer to join the Manufacturing  team, reporting directly to the Launch Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Juarez, Mexico, Planta 1.

As a New Launch Project Engineer at Marelli, your role would likely focus on managing and coordinating the introduction of new products or systems into production. Here's a general overview of responsibilities and requirements that might be expected in such a role:

 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  1. Project Management:

    • Lead and manage the launch of new products, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and timing objectives.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure project success.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  2. Process Development:

    • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop and optimize production processes.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  3. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all new products or systems meet Marelli's quality standards.
    • Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish robust testing and validation processes.
  4. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues before they impact the project.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  5. Supplier Coordination:

    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
    • Evaluate and enhance supplier performance as needed.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
    • Present project progress and outcomes to senior management and other key stakeholders.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
    • Several years of experience in project management within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Additional Competencies:

    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
