About the Position:
We are looking for a PTC Engineer to join the Manufacturing AL&S team, reporting directly to the Tooling Manager.
This position is based at our office in Cd. Juarez, Mex, Plant 1.
As the PTC Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate
design and coordinate the manufacturing, planning and correct operation of high-quality injection molds by world standards, using basic knowledge in plastic injection processing, in addition to applied knowledge of hot and cold runner molds, line balancing, handling of statistical tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, diagram reading, set-up of machinery parameters, skill in personnel management, work under pressure, proactive, advance and strategic, planning, organized, handling of lean manufacturing tools, leadership skills, conflict management and prevention, handling of office suites.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Develop, implement, manage, and maintain the quality management system according to the company’s objectives.
- Ensure that company’s products meet established quality standards.
- Promote efficient use of company resources through continuous improvement.
- Implement quality testing of internal products and competencies to identify areas for improvement.
- Keep company management informed of the performance of the quality management system, as well as any changes or improvements to company processes.
- Promote and apply the company’s regulations, policies, objectives, and guidelines of ISO standard(s) on management and good manufacturing practices.
- Support various departments in preparing and presenting evidence, if required, for client quality, capacity and ethical responsibility audits.
- Train staff on quality, ISO and continuous improvement.
- Implementation of 5’s system in the company.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Educational Background:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred or required for more advanced positions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in control systems engineering and a strong understanding of powertrain systems.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and software development.
- Knowledge of vehicle networks and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN).
- Experience:
- Previous experience in automotive engineering or powertrain systems is typically required, often ranging from 2 to 5 years depending on the complexity of the role.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing methodologies.
- Problem-Solving Ability:
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering problems.
- Ability to interpret and analyze test data effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards in automotive powertrain systems.
- Awareness of current and emerging technologies in the automotive industry.
