About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Plant Controller to join the Finance AL&S team, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
 

This position is based at our office in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico.
 

The Plant Finance Controller acts as the financial lead at the plant, responsible for driving financial performance, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role partners closely with plant management and various functions to provide financial insights, oversee budgeting, reporting, and analysis, and safeguard Marelli’s assets.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development of the plant’s budget and regular forecasts; monitor actuals versus plans and provide variance analysis.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze production costs, material usage, and other expenses; support cost reduction initiatives and track savings.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with plant operations, supply chain, and HR to provide financial advice supporting business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and external regulations (e.g., SOX, IFRS); support internal and external audits.
  • Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee inventory valuation, fixed asset controls, and physical asset verification processes.
  • KPI Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards with key financial and operational metrics; drive performance management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within finance and across plant operations.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) preferred.
  • Experience: Several years in manufacturing finance or plant controlling; automotive sector experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently under deadlines.
