About the Position:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join the Manufacturing AL&S team, reporting directly to the Shop Manager.
This position is based at our office in Cd. Juarez, Mex Plant 1.
As the Production Supervisor at Marelli, you will be responsible to ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements, ensure are productivity and ensure continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities will be:
Ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements
- Ensure that the production plan is met by part number and customer, in terms of quality, quantity, and required timing
- Ensure that processes meet their productivity standards
- Verify that first piece release is performed for each run
Ensure area productivity
- Define with the Operations Manager and other Production Supervisors the applicable KPIs for each line
- Monitor shift performance and report accurate information at the end of the shift (downtime, actual vs. plan, kaizens, internal/external defects, customer defects, safety incidents, etc.)
- Verify that the Team Leader monitors and correctly applies the work instructions in their area
- Replace the Team Leader in case of absence
- Lead by example in matters of rigor and discipline
- Maintain a permanent presence on the production floor: daily contact with area members
- Plan work shifts
- Ensure that machinery and equipment checklists and records are completed
- Verify that production formats, scrap formats, hour by hour formats, boards, rejection cards, material concessions, etc., are filled out correctly
- Ensure that production is correctly reported and identified according to the established system
- Manage resources to achieve results: adapting staffing to production requirements by Customer and by PR (production line)
- Supervise hour-by-hour boards and production reports to identify and address potential issues
- Follow up on the supply of material kits to execute the production plan and the transfer of Finished Product to the shipping area
- Develop standardized work and personnel training together with the Team Leader
- Ensure model changes are accomplished with minimal downtime
Ensure continuous improvement
- Coordinate execution of MMS-related activities
- Assess scrap causes and implement corrective actions
- Generate action plans together with teams for area continuous improvement, ensuring that the produced pieces meet customer quality requirements
- Work with customers and internal suppliers to standardize quality criteria and foster teamwork, as well as to convey information at all levels
What Qualifications you will bring:
Educational Level:
- Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Language:
- Intermediate English
Experience:
- 3 years in the automotive industry
- 3 years in a similar position
- 2 years in production processes: production program compliance, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
Experience that substitutes for educational level:
- 6 years in a similar position
