About the Position:
We are looking for a QMS Quality Management System Engineer to join the Quality AL&S team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
This position is based at our office in Cd. Juarez, Mex Plant 1.
As the QMS Quality Management System at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate to implement, maintain and improve a Quality Management System based on Standard IATF:16949; 2016 complemented with Customer Specific Requirements and other Standards as required by Customer and Marelli Corporate: VDA 6.3, PHA, Stellantis MCA, Ford Q1.
Your Responsibilities will be:
· Ensure there is a Quality Manual defined and aligned with the requirements of IATF:16949; 2016 Standard and Customer Specific Requirements.
· Ensure that customer requirements and automotive standars are met for the certifications required and/or maintenance of the plant’s IATF Certificate, as well as any customer certifications required for the quality system.
· Establish, maintain and promote an effective and efficient quality manual within the organization.
· Ensure that personnel know, understand and follow the requirements of the Quality Manual.
· Continuously strenghten the QMS by considering the prevention and detection of failures reported by the customer and internal scrap
· Manage document and change records in the system, including the update and obsolescence of documents and formats in the areas of use.
What Qualifications you will bring:
· Industrial, Chemical, Electronics Engineering or similar
· Advance English Language at Technical Level
· 3 years of experience in Quality in automotive industry (preferably in plastic injection and products with cosmetic characteristics
· 5 years in a similar position in the automotive industry using IATF:16949; 2016 Standard
· Knowledge in Standards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, preferably certified as Internal Auditor
· Knowledge in MMS
· Knowledge in Core Tools: FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC
· Knowledge ins IMDS
· Interpretation of standards and drawings
· Continuous Quality Improvement sefl assessments: CQI-8, CQI-23, CQI-12
· Customer Specific Requirements
· Knowledge of customer portals
Other skills that we would welcome:
· IATF 16949:2016 Lead Auditor
· VDA 6.3 Qualified Auditor
· PHA Auditor
· Knowledge in Government certifications: CCC (China), ICAT (India), Taiwan Cert.
· Internal Auditor (as applicable) in Customer Quality Systems: Ford Q1, Stellantis MCA, GM BIQS.
Professional and personal skills preferred:
1. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data and drive insights for process improvements.
2. Problem Solving: Expertise in identifying issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective actions.
3. Leadership and Management: Experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects to achieve quality objectives.
4. Communication Skills: Proficiency in conveying complex quality concepts to diverse stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
5. Continuous Improvement: Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies for process optimization.
Expectations from you in this position:
· Ensuring Compliance: Maintain full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards and regulations, including Customer Specific Requirements
· Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancements within the QMS and lead initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
· Audit Management: Plan, conduct, report, and follow through internal and external audits. Address findings with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
· Documentation Control: Oversee the management and control of all quality documentation, ensuring timely updates and accessibility through the organization.
· Quality Metrics and Reporting: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to measure and report the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
