About the Position:

 

We are looking for a PLC technologist to join the MFE team in Propulsion Solutions division, reporting directly to the MFE manager.

This position is based at our office in Kechnec.

As the PLC technologist at Marelli, you will be responsible for the PLC standards setting and is the technical expert of PLC and software of dedicated lines.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

 

Development phase:

  • analyze the process specification coming from manufacturing engineering and elaborate the possible PLC strategy, evaluating investment, human cycle time and timing requireImplementation and modification phase:
  •           Support of the new product launches and starts of production or of implementation of process changes, in collaboration with the process engineers, the production team leaders:
  • -             Elaboration of the machine instructions and of the process parameters

    -             Execution of and participation in the experimentation phases, related to the prototype, pre-serie, introduction of new materials or new processes

    -             Preparation and constitution of the technical documentation of the processes

    -             Definition of the statistical process control

    Production phase:

    •             Support the production in the continuous improvement process through:

    -             Analysis of the reliability of PLC systems and PC hardware and software’s

    -             Functionality of the measurement and process control instruments

    -             Development of the containment, corrective actions and improvement in response to the abnormalities and deviations found on the line or at the customer

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Siemens step7 (other PLC systems), database systems, IT basics
  • Electro mechanics – strong competences in both mechanics and electrics.
  • Basic background in fluid dynamics, mechanics and pneumatics.
  • Strong competences with assembly lines.
  • Industrial process control.
  • Reading technical drawings (mechanical and electrical).
  • Capable of designing technical solutions for automation systems.

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • High interest for machine understanding and optimization.
  • Previous successful and riche technical experiences with machines programming.
  • English language.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
  • Quality core tools, FMEA, PPAP, P-FMEA, control plan.
  • Capable of making process line quotations.

Expectations from you in this position:

 

 

•             Actively work with the selected line maker for the PLC realization, respecting the deadlines, following the procedures of Design review

•             Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the training activities for the process operators, in collaboration with the team leader

•             Ensure the initial qualification and the periodical re-qualification of the machine and other production means; collaborate with the elaboration of the maintenance plan.

•             Emergency backup of all systems of production lines
