About the Position:

We are looking for a Software Embedded Engineer to join the Lighting team, reporting directly to the Software Manager.
 
This position is based at our office in Mexico City.
 
As the Software Embedded engineer at Marelli, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge software solutions for Marelli's advanced embedded systems. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded software while ensuring high performance and reliability. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the company's specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a solid understanding of embedded systems, programming languages, and hardware interfaces. Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Design, develop and maintain embedded software for automotive applications.  

  • Manage Software requirements ensuring their traceability and respecting  customer needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop software architectures, and deliver high-quality embedded software solutions.

  • Follow Software Requirements and internal guidelines.

  • Support  in the analysis, debug  and resolution of SW issues.

  • Ensure compliance of  SW development according to ASPICE and ISO 26262.

  • Support on SW documentation activities such as SW architecture, SW Detailed Design.

  • Support on testing and debugging of SW components.

  • Support on creating scripts and tools to improve development process. 

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or similar discipline.

  • Fluent English spoken and written.

  • 3-6 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

  • 3-5 years of experience in C/C++ 

  • Advance Embedded C programming.

  • Basic Electronics knowledge on: uC, Bucks, Boosters, High Side Drivers, LEDs, SBC, LED Matrix Manager, Stepper motor.

  • Communication Protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, UART, I2C.

  • RTOS fundamentals.

  • Proficiency in reading Schematics & Datasheets.

  •  Fundamentals on DaVinci Developer & DaVinci Configurator.

  • Proficiency in CANalyzer & CANoe. 

  • General experience with troubleshooting, debugging embedded systems. 

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Experience in automotive industry.

  • Proficiency in AUTOSAR Architecture.

  • Experience with Enterprise architect.

  • Exposure to working in an Agile team.

  • Knowledge in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.
