About the Position:
We are looking for a Assembly Supervisor to join the production team, reporting directly to the Assembly Manager.
This position is based at our office in Pulaski TN.
As the Assembly Supervisor at Marelli, you will be responsible for managing a group of lines or area inside the operations.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Supervise activities of the area in a manner that meets the company's goals for Safety, Quality, Environment and Productivity.
- Supervise compliance of the production schedule as well as compliance with the general requirements of the organization
- Supervise employees
- Participate in the analysis of product rejections
- Manage area KPI and lead improvement team through PDCA
- Assure completion of the production schedule
- Provide support and training to the employees.
- Participate in problem solving teams
- Insure the quality of the product, by monitoring the compliance of the quality requirements and criteria
- Supervise compliance with the area’s procedures and instructions
- Monitor the reliability of the processes
- Participate in the responses to customer complaints
- Supervise and provide corrective actions for the production performance indicators
- Implement continuous improvement programs in the production area
- Keep the scrap and finished product system updated
- Implement inventory and scrap reduction projects
- Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions (those applicable)
- WCM implementation in the area
- All those activities generated as a result of changes, requirements and/or improvement in the process of the applicable area)
What Qualifications you will bring:
- College Degreed preferred
- 1 year minimum in the area
- Quality and environmental systems
- Emergency programs
- Basic knowledge about Lean Manufacturing and its tools
- Problem solving techniques
- Leadership skills, communication, human relations.
- Internal work regulations
- Knowledge of computer packages (MS OFFICE)
- Basic process tools : PFMA’s and PCP’s
- Availability to work overtime on short notice
- Experience with injection molding/ assembly process a plus
