About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Indirect Purchasing Specialist to join the Marelli team, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.
  

As the Indirect Purchasing Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management for indirect materials and services. This includes categories such as IT, office supplies, facility management, professional services, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), and more. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing practices, compliance with company standards, and timely delivery to support Marelli’s business operations. 

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for indirect goods and services.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, requests for quotations (RFQs), and purchase orders in line with internal policies.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve optimal cost savings and service levels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, savings initiatives, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing standards and Marelli’s purchasing policies.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, invoicing, or compliance in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchase-to-pay processes.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, and documentation.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or purchasing (automotive industry experience preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, contract management, and supplier evaluation.

  • Experience in international purchasing and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and risk management practices in procurement.
  • Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset
