About the Position:
We are looking for a Functional Safety Coordinator to join the Lighting China R&D team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, Electronics.
This position is based at our office in Shanghai, China.

Your Responsibilities will be:
- Managing all the project safety leaders in the region and ensure ISO 26262 compliance across all product lines
- Enhancing the safety culture and processes by coordinating local safety communication and driving continuous improvements based on project learnings and evolving standards
- Conducting safety impact analyses, aligning Development Interface Agreements (DIA) with the customer, performing Safety Plans, monitoring safety activities implementation, and generating Safety Case to ensure on-time delivery of functional safety work products
- Reporting progress of functional safety activities to management and in case of need escalating critical issues.
- Communicating with the customer’s Safety Manager on safety topics
- Conducting internal audits and manage documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance for functional safety audits and reviews
- Providing functional safety training and technical support to the project teams to enhance their understanding and capabilities on functional safety development
- Leading Safety Readiness review and approve prototype safety releases to the customer
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in Functional Safety development or management.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, IATF 16949, ASPICE standards
- Familiar with safety analysis methodologies such as FMEA and FMEDA
- Proficient in MS Office programs and fluent in English
- Exhibit strong negotiating skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to react proactively.
- Demonstrate a team-oriented, open, and communicative nature, capable of working under pressure in a global team.
- Show determination in achieving goals, with certification as a functional safety engineer/professional considered a plus.
