About the Position:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Specialist to join the Manufacturing GTS team, reporting directly to the General Supervisor GTS Eng.
This position is based at our office in San Francisco plant, Aguascalientes city.
As the Manufacturing Engineer Specialist at Marelli, you would play a crucial role in optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production of exhaust components: process development and optimization, quality assurance and control, continuous improvement, collaboration, problem solving, documentation and reporting, equipment and technology management, training and development.
Your Responsibilities will be:

Process Development and Optimization: Design, implement, and refine production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. This might involve conducting time studies, process simulations, and layout planning.

Quality Assurance and Control: Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain high standards of quality. You might develop inspection processes or statistical sampling plans to ensure the reliability of exhaust systems.

Continuous Improvement: Utilize methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to drive operational excellence.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and supply chain, to align process capabilities with product designs and customer requirements.

Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot process issues, employing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to mitigate disruptions in production.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of process specifications, changes, and performance metrics to support transparency and continuous improvement efforts.

Equipment and Technology Management: Assess and recommend new equipment or technologies to enhance productivity, and oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Training and Development: Train production staff on new processes and technologies to ensure team competency and adaptability.
