About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Operational Unit Manager (Manufacturing Manager) to join the Manufacturing GTS team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in San Francisco Plant, Aguascalientes city.
 

As the Operational Unit Manager (Manufacturing Manager) at Marelli, you will be is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a specific unit or department within the organization. This role involves ensuring that the unit functions smoothly and efficiently while aligning with Marelli's overall strategic goals and objectives.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and motivate a team of employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within the unit.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee all operations, ensuring they are executed within established timelines and budgets.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Financial Oversight:

    • Manage the unit's budget, controlling costs while maximizing resource utilization.
    • Prepare financial reports and analyze performance data to guide decision-making.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Implement quality control measures and continuously seek ways to improve quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless inter-departmental operations.
    • Communicate operational performance and strategies to senior management.
  • Talent Development:

    • Identify training and development needs for team members and facilitate appropriate learning opportunities.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Uphold health and safety standards within the operational unit.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies relevant to the unit's activities.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  •  Education: Degree in Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: 7+ years: Manufacturing process, ideally within the automotive industry, operational processes and strategic priorities.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
