About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Project Engineering Specialist to join the Product Development GTS team, reporting directly to the Product Development Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in San Francisco Plant, Aguascalientes City.
 

As the Project Engineering Specialist at Marelli, you will be focus on overseeing the technical development and implementation of new products, ensuring they align with market needs and company standards.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Product Development:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and manufacturing, to develop and refine product concepts.
    • Lead the engineering efforts related to the development of new products, from initial concept through to production readiness.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
    • Coordinate all project activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
    • Review and validate design and engineering documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal requirements.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges early in the development process.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement:

    • Implement processes and best practices to improve product quality and reduce development timelines.
    • Monitor testing and validation processes, ensuring that products meet or exceed performance expectations.
  • Innovation and Trend Analysis:

    • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to drive innovation.
    • Identify opportunities for new product features and improvements based on market feedback and technological advancements.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  •  Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or product development are beneficial.
  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in product development or project engineering, particularly within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Project management capabilities with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • Understanding of product development processes and engineering principles.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working with diverse teams.
