About the Position:
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join the Logistics team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.
This position is based at our office in Sosnowiec.
As the Procurement Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible:
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Ensure the supply of components and materials for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Secure components and purchased materials for production.
- Maintain optimal safety stock levels, including setting stock levels before planned material changes and mold repairs.
- Prevent costs associated with special transportation.
- Reduce obsolescence levels and prevent their occurrence.
- Anticipate, resolve, and escalate supply issues, and verify the feasibility of finding alternative methods to secure production.
- Verify the possibility of increasing production in response to customer inquiries.
- Clarify inventory, transportation, and invoice discrepancies and manage logistics complaints.
- Create tables/summaries/reports for reporting purposes as assigned by supervisors (both direct and those resulting from organizational structure).
- Organize transportation of components/raw materials from suppliers.
- Implement savings using MMS methodology.
- Manage packaging.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Minimum secondary education, preferably higher education – ideally specializing in fields such as: logistics management / production management and engineering / logistics.
- At least 2 years of experience in a logistics department, preferably in a manufacturing company within the automotive industry.
- Ability to conduct negotiations with suppliers.
- Knowledge of logistics and production processes within a plant.
- Familiarity with customs regulations and transport conditions (Incoterms).
- Skill in scheduling deliveries and forecasting orders.
- Ability to coordinate suppliers in crisis situations.
- Skill in analyzing inventory levels.
- Ability to optimize supply parameters (MOQ, rounding value, MLS).
- English language proficiency at B1 level (spoken and written); knowledge of another language (Italian, German) is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with SAP, ERP systems is an advantage.
- Decision-making ability.
- Very good organization of personal work.
