About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join the Purchasing Lighting team, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Sosnowiec.
 

As the Purchasing Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible:

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Ensure effective and optimal procurement and supply process for the plant in terms of assembly lines
  • Execute the purchasing process in accordance with the standards and procedures of Marelli Group's Central Purchasing in Poland for assigned Marelli Group companies, including:
  • Collaborate with Engineers and project teams regarding CAPEX/MRO
  • Manage the RFQ process, analyze financial conditions, and recommend the selection of the optimal offer
  • Conduct negotiations and agree on purchasing contract terms within the scope and area of responsibility
  • Manage the assigned budget and purchases for the project
  • Participate in cost reduction for new and ongoing CAPEX projects
  • Execute supplier selection process by searching and creating lists of potential suppliers
  • Obtain offers, perform financial condition analysis, and recommend the selection of the optimal offer
  • Negotiate and agree on purchasing contract terms within the scope and area of responsibility
  • Maintain contacts with suppliers and monitor the local supplier market, including collecting and analyzing information about potential supplier markets
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders to Suppliers according to the procedures of the Marelli Group and Marelli Group companies
  • Implement the purchasing policy and strategy of Marelli Group and Marelli Group companies in Poland

Expectations from you in this position:

 

  • Higher education, preferably in economics or engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international company in the automotive industry
  • Communicative knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level
  • Knowledge of German or Italian is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel (formulas, formatting, pivot tables), PowerPoint
  • SAP or other ERP systems knowledge is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel for business and possession of a category B driving license
  • Knowledge of purchase cost structure and the ability to analyze and interpret it
  • Conducting commercial negotiations (tools, techniques)
  • Ability to analyze and develop commercial contracts
  • Knowledge of international trade transactions, customs regulations, and INCO terms
  • Ability to read technical documentation and technical drawings
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Good work organization
  • Ability to work under pressure
