About the Position:
We are looking for a Plant Purchasing Specialist to join the Green Technologies Purchasing team, reporting directly to the Region Purchasing Manager.
This position is based at our office in Sosnowiec, Poland.
As the Plant Purchasing Specialist at Marelli, you will be in charge of coordinating and ensuring the achievement of objectives for his/her Function in accordance with the Company targets, through:
- Interfacing and aligning with Key Stakeholders (project management, R&D, Quality, Finance and Operations)
- Implementing the best practices
- Optimizing costs and ensuring quality and timing impacts
- Ensuring the commodity strategy
- Anticipating the specific requirements for new projects (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs)
Your Responsibilities will be:
- In accordance with the whole Team the Project Buyer is responsible for the localization strategy definition, market analysis, supplier selection with accordance with the Commodity, suppliers risk evaluation, timing and quality accomplishment according to the needs of the Project.
- Responsible for estimating cost of Buy Parts involved in offer to Customers, based on internal Make or Buy strategy. Once project is assigned to MARELLI is responsible for following and ensuring a safe Launch of the project under a profitable project condition.
- Satisfy customer requirements and specifications.
- Support the involvement of suppliers to perform feasibility studies and Technical Reviews with R&D.
- Participate and propose cost improvement ideas and Target cost/ Target Profit initiative during concept release.
- Support the Strategic components advance management and Perform Sourcing of components according to defined company rules.
- Be the unique purchasing interface in front of PMO organization during project development.
- Track components of the Bill Of Material to ensure the accomplishment of timing and cost of the project.
- Track sourcing and status of means of production related to the project (Tools, Assembly Unit).
- According to ADVANCED PRODUCT QUALITY PLANNING governance, perform, together with the SDE Leader, a periodical and deep review of each project under development, to measure the progress and result of the ADVANCED PRODUCT QUALITY PLANNING activities on the procured components.
- Periodically present to the BU Management the project progress in terms of KPI monitoring.
- Share with the SDE Leader the action plan at project level based on the outcome of ADVANCED PRODUCT QUALITY PLANNING governance reviews.
- Update of the price lists.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Education (School/Specialization): Engineering or Economics degree
- Languages: Fluent English, additional language is preferred
- Experiences: Experience in Automotive and / or industrial components will be preferable
