About the Position:
As a Senior Sales Account Manager specializing in Interior Experience Sales within Marelli, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and timely management of part and tool pricing with our main customer, Nissan. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing design changes, economic influences, volume and other factors to ensure that pricing is optimised and updated on an ongoing basis. Highly numerate and with a wide perspective of Marelli’s in-house production processes and supplier chain, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with customer representatives and Marelli colleagues.
Your Responsibilities will be:
Account Management: Develop and manage strong, long-term relationships with key customer representatives, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Sales Strategy: Collaborate in the development and execution of strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed set revenue and profitability targets.
Identify and pursue new opportunities by analysing market trends and customer needs.
Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing industry insights, product information, and support to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations on ongoing price changes, working closely with Marelli Design, Project Management, Costing and Operations to optimize proposed prices.
Market Intelligence: Gather and analyse market data, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and marketing teams to align product offerings with customer demands and market trends.
Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance metrics and provide regular updates and reports to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
What Qualifications you will bring:
Preferably a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales, Account Management or other Commercial or Technical function within the Automotive industry.
Strong understanding of automotive interior components or similar products/processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and on own initiative.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with databases and shared information systems.
Willingness to travel as needed.
