About the Position:
We are looking for a Logistic Engineer to join the Logistic team, reporting directly to the Logistic Manager
This position is based at our office in Derramadero Saltillo.
As the Logistic Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible of:
Design, analyze, manage solutions for: logistics supplies, warehousing, inventory management, logistics processes and work instructions, costs, manpower, routing and lines supply, packaging, logistics infrastructure to guarantee the conservation of the product, correct flow of the materials and manpower seeking to optimize costs for the company.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Design and plan the internal flows of material and streamlining workflows, reducing waste, to generate the maximum logistical savings.
- Perform logistics work measurement to propose improvements
- Purchase of logistics supplies (Seal, Labels, Gas, Mobile equipment) and packaging material
- PFEP maintenance/ optimization
- Manage returnable containers, carts and racks fleet
- Development of ROH/FG/WIP packaging guaranteeing:
- Packaging optimization, optimal use of transport, compliance with the planned packaging standard
- Release and acceptance of the supplier's packaging proposal for each of the purchase components, ensuring that the material will not have risk of damage regardless of the distance and type of transport used and that the packaging that the supplier uses has at least the same standard that will be used in the assembly line, ideally, the supplier will deliver in the packaging that could be used in the assembly line.
- Cycle count responsible and lead the analysis of the root causes of inventory differences and action plans derivated for the analysis
- Coordinate annual inventories
- Lead cost reduction projects
- Guaranteeing the correct back flush of the materials (supplying parameters) and manage zrad errors.
- Monitoring and coordination with production to correct errors in the production notification.
- Identify and document potential causes of Nonconformities and update create documentation of processes on Master Web
