About the Position:
We are looking for a Quality Welding Engineer to join the Quality team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
This position is based at our office in Derramadero Saltillo
As the Quality Welding Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible of:
- Ensure process and manufactured product conformity to Customer Specific and Legal Requirements and to Specifications through standarized processes and methods pertinent to Manufacturing process quality and controls, and their Continues Improvement.
- Pursue Customer satisfaction through efficient management of claims and complaints, field analysis, and investigation to improve product reliability, transversal actions plan.
- Promote quality improvement according to customer expectations, assuring best practices and lesson learned transfer through all Divisions.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Assure all process should comply with the requirements based on IATF 16949
- Audit operative instructions and methods for manufacturing process audits
• Perform scrap data collection, support the analysis to identify the root causes, and eliminate root causes.
• Quality methods & tools: methods, procedures and common ICT tools definitions and application for control and improvement of quality in Manufacturing lines such as, Control plan application, Statistical process control, Non conformity management, Problem solving, 7QC tool, 4M´s analysis, PFMEA application need to refer to incoming inspection , incoming is part of Control Plan application.
• Customer complaint management, with focus on 0-km assuring proper answers with corrective actions / improvement plan ( Customer Portal )
• Quality Customer relationship
• Control of customer complaints, failure rates and cost with focus on Sorting activities both inside Marelli plants and Customer plants.
• Enhancement of customer satisfaction related to product quality
• Recurrence prevention process management and quality lessons learned horizontal deployment
• Monitoring and support of plants internal and external complaints handling, analysis and statements.
• Manage activities pertinent to production part approval process (PPAP, PPA, PFMEA, CP, etc, ) for changes in series production.
• Coordination of people resources and thanks for quality employees in production lines.
• Perform Conformity of Production (COP) verification on product characteristics submitted to type approval, regulatory and safety requirements
• Coordinate the APQP of new products by supporting the plant during the quotation process of new products, introduction of product modifications/process changes/new suppliers
