The Chief Project Engineer supports the successful execution of engineering projects, overseeing technical activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring project deliverables align with customer requirements, timelines, and company standards. This role is ideal for early-career engineers eager to develop project leadership and technical management skills within Marelli’s fast-paced, innovative environment.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Plan, execute, and close engineering projects.
- Coordinate engineering activities between design, development, testing, and production teams.
- Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking, and reporting on KPIs and project status.
- Facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and change requests.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers to ensure requirements are understood and met.
- Monitor risk and support mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Support continuous improvement activities within project execution and reporting.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive or related fields).
- 5+ years of related engineering/project experience.
- Understanding of automotive development processes and project management principles.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving orientation, with attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management and engineering tools (e.g., MS Project, CAD software, ERP systems) is preferred.
- Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
