About the Position:
We are looking for a Customer Quality Manager to join the Electronics North America Quality team, reporting directly to the Head of Quality North America.
This position is based at our office in Southfield, Michigan.
As the Customer Quality Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role will involve direct interaction with customers to understand their quality requirements and work closely with internal teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and Marelli's Electronics division for all quality-related matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their quality standards and expectations.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for customer-reported quality issues.
- Coordinate and facilitate quality audits, both internal and external, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance product quality.
- Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to senior management and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to drive improvements in product quality.
- Ensure effective documentation and communication of quality processes and improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements related to electronics quality management.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality management within the electronics or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Experience with Six Sigma or similar quality improvement methodologies.
- Certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar is an advantage.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
