About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Key Account Management Manager to join the Motorsport Sales team, reporting directly to the Motorsport Sales Senior Manager.
 

This position is based in the United States and it's in scope for home office as well. The person will be required to travel (domestic and overseas).
 

As Key Account Management Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible in cooperation with Motorsport Sales Senior Manager to set strategies and actions to achieve assigned targets and long-term business goals. Within your own customers perimeter you'll be responsible for maintaining ongoing relationships and chasing any new profitable business oppotunities

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGY - identify and suggest innovative ideas besides the proper strategy to pursue and gain new business opportunities to increase existing business or to expand the company's presence in the motorsport industry. Collaborate with internal involved departments to implement the strategies identified.   
  • MARKET ANALYSIS & REPORTING - ensure knowledge and analysis of its own market (customers and competitors). Elaborate and make reports and forecasts Sales data (MTP, Yearly BDG, FCT) available to internal stakeholders.  
  • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - be focused on maintaining and developping the relationships with existing customers portfolio. To get a deep understanding of their needs and requirements it's a must to have to meeting their targets. 
  • FEEDBACK AND IMPROVEMENT - gather and analyze feedback from the clients to be always aware of market needs/trends and continuously improve the customer service
  • NEGOTIATION - manage contract negotiations and long-term agreements with clients to ensure risks protection and benefits to the company

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Proven experience in middle-high level motorsport contexts within Sales, Business Development or Product Marketing functions
  • Good technical knowledge about motorsport electronics and powertrain products
  • Very good business network within motorsport industry especially in the main North American professional championships
  • University Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Ability to work as individual contributor interfacing with the Headquarter which is abroad
  • Availability to travel (domestic and overseas) 
  • Fluent English 
  • Microsoft Office package

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  •  Knowledge of Italian language will be a plus
  •  Technical know how about telemetry systems for motorsport will be a plus
