About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join the Lighting team, reporting directly to the Research and Development Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Southfield.
 

As the Product Development Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Design and develop innovative lighting solutions tailored to automotive applications, ensuring product performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to optimize product design and functionality.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate new concepts and design changes.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the division's strategic goals and objectives.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in product development and engineering within the automotive lighting industry.
  • Strong understanding of LED technology and optical design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a knack for innovation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to effectively collaborate with global teams.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry regulations and standards (e.g., ECE, SAE).
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
