About the Position:
We are looking for a System Engineer - Zone/Cockpit to join the Electronic Systems North America Engineering & Innovation team, reporting directly to the System Engineering Manager.
This position is based at our office in Southfield, Michigan.
As the System Engineer - Zone/Cockpit at Marelli, you will be responsible for the design, integration, and validation of advanced cockpit technologies and zone architectures. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance vehicle functionality and user experience.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- System Design and Integration: Develop and integrate cockpit and zone system architectures to meet functional and performance requirements, ensuring seamless interaction between various subsystems.
- Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and translate stakeholder requirements into detailed system specifications and functional architectures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure effective integration of all system components.
- Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and procedures to verify and validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Problem-Solving: Identify system-level issues and work collaboratively to implement solutions that address root causes and improve system performance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, integration guides, and validation reports.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the automotive or electronics sector, with a focus on cockpit and zone systems.
- Strong understanding of system architecture design, experience with systems engineering tools, and familiarity with automotive communication protocols.
