About the Position:
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the Electronic Systems Engineering & Innovation team, reporting directly to the North America Head of Engineering & Innovation - Electronic Systems.
This position is based at our office in Southfield, Michigan.
As the Technical Project Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for being the customer main interface for all engineering/product related matters.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Ensure transparent and continuous communication between all engineering domains and to project team.
- Carrie forward overall program schedule, milestones and priorities and aligns all engineering domains.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to product specification and quality targets and the compliance of the finished product.
- Monitor execution and progress of the product development process; this process also includes resolving dependencies and roadblocks to contain schedule commitment.
- Utilizes domain manager’s network to resolve cross domain dependencies/conflict.
- Mange work cycles between different regions.
- Ensure that the BOM is managed continuously and that official releases are published regularly.
- Ensure that cross-functional DfM (design for manufacturing) workshops are conducted during acquisition phase and prior equipment sourcing.
- Monitor and facilitates data/drawing/HW/SW releases and sprint planning.
- Manage release/sprint risks in de-scoping/de-contenting review meetings.
- Own and drives workshops, initiatives, collaborations, war rooms, etc. to address issues/problem statements that come up over time.
- Ensure that prototype and pre-serial builds for internal and customer usage are planned to meet program needs while executed smoothly and continuously.
- Participate in customer integration workshops.
- Monitor and ensures compliance to established processes and usage of tools (Jira, Confluence, RPT, etc.).
- Ensure compliance activities like ASPICE, Open-Source Software (OSS), Static Code Compliance, etc.
- Work with the Customer Project Managers to establish and execute branching strategy.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience in product development.
- Leadership of engineering teams for the full development life cycle.

- High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
- Escalation management.
- Strong communication and moderation skills.
- Communicating upwards and downwards.
