About the Position:
We are looking for a Product Engineer - Optics to join the Electronic Systems North America Product Engineering team, reporting directly to the Product Engineering Manager.
This position is based at our office in Mexico (Tepotzotlán or Aguascalientes).
As the Product Engineer - Optics at Marelli, you will be responsible for designing and developing optical systems and components within our Electronic Systems division. This role requires a hands-on engineer with expertise in optics and a passion for innovation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create advanced optical solutions that meet performance, quality, and customer requirements.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Optical Design: Design and develop optical systems and components, including lenses, light guides, and optical sensors, ensuring they meet functional and performance specifications.
- Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes and conduct experimental testing to evaluate optical performance, identifying and addressing any issues.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with product development teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to integrate optical solutions into electronic systems.
- Simulation and Analysis: Utilize optical design software tools for simulation and analysis to optimize optical performance and efficiency.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in optical design and engineering, preferably within the electronic systems or related industry
- Proficiency with optical design software, strong understanding of optical principles, and experience with optical measurement and testing techniques.
