About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Production Maintenance Coordinator to join the Manufacturing Lighting team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlán, México.
 

As the Production Maintenance Coordinatorat Marelli, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure efficient, uninterrupted production operations in the lighting manufacturing plant. This role serves as the key liaison between production teams, maintenance technicians, and management, ensuring maintenance tasks are executed safely, effectively, and in accordance with company standards. 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for production machinery, lighting assembly lines, and facility equipment.
  • Downtime Management: Monitor equipment performance, respond to breakdowns, and minimize production disruptions by coordinating timely repairs.
  • Maintenance Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, completed work, spare parts inventories, and compliance with safety/regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring equipment issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop solutions for improved reliability.
  • Team Liaison: Communicate effectively between production supervisors, maintenance technicians, and external service providers.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSH (Occupational Safety & Health) and environmental standards.
  • Cost Control: Monitor maintenance budgets, control spare part consumption, and seek cost-effective repair solutions.
  • Training & Support: Assess and address maintenance skill gaps within the team, arrange necessary technical training, and support cross-functional collaboration.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Education:
    Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:
    Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in an automotive or lighting manufacturing environment. Prior experience in a coordination or supervisory role advantageous.

  • Technical Skills:
    Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, automation, and preventive maintenance best practices.

  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks, prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with good troubleshooting skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • IT Literacy: Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), MS Office Suite, and ERP systems.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative approach with both technical and non-technical personnel.
