About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Quality Manufacturing Engineer to join the Lighting Quality team, reporting directly to the Quality Coordinator.
 

This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlán, México.
 

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and fine-tune manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and efficiency in production lines.

  • Quality Improvement: Identify quality-related issues and lead initiatives to address them, utilizing tools such as root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all manufacturing processes and products meet Marelli’s quality standards as well as industry regulations and standards.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and supply chain, to integrate quality initiatives and improvements.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, increasing yield, and improving overall product quality.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement, using statistical methods and quality management software.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to production teams to enhance quality awareness and ensure adherence to quality protocols.

  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supplied product quality.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records and reports on quality metrics, improvement initiatives, and compliance activities.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in quality engineering or manufacturing, preferably within the automotive or lighting industry.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies is a plus.
  • Core tools, CSR BMW, VW, VDA.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and quality assurance tools.
