About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced System Team Lead (SE-TL) to join the Electronic Systems North America Engineering & Innovation team, reporting directly to the North America System Engineering Manager.
This position is based at our office in Mexico (Aguascalientes or Tepotzotlán).
As the System Team Lead who will be mainly responsible for managing a team of System Engineers and coordinating all the activities related to System Engineering related to but not limited to Nissan/RNM projects (Clusters, Silver-box, BCM, Displays, Amplifiers, ODS, HVAC & other automotive ECU’s)
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Manage and monitor the SE resource allocations to various development/maintenance projects
- Maximize resource utilization by projects, identify skills requested for each project
- Assign to each project team the required resources, ensuring the required quality and workload level vs. competence availability
- Give directive for a common mode of working by applying standard process and tools
- Act as system lead for key projects with close sync-up with customers/stakeholders and cross-functional and global development teams.
- Manage customer and internal stakeholders’ escalations along with Technical project Lead/PM.
- Define projects KPI and monitor periodically
- Contribute on improvement programs (Quality System, ASPICE)
- Coordinate and act to grow the competence and know-how evolution of the team
- Contribute to budget preparation for Mexico systems team along with System Engineering Manager
- Support for systems efforts estimation and technical reviews during RFI/RFQ phase
- Support System defects analysis, using different methodologies (e.g. Fault Tree Analysis – FTA).
- Represent system in technical reviews and workshops with customers and partners.
- Build confidence by ensuring transparency and technical rigor.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of embedded product development experience in automotive ECU programs.
- Prior work experience on Japanese (Nissan preferred) OEM’s product/project development as System Engineer/Lead or Technical lead.
- Preferred to have good knowledge for Nissan processes, standard, documentations (like Spec Tender, PDS, DCH, DQS, JQTA, PDCT, Dnote, etc.,)
- Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, Ethernet, UDS, LVDS).
- Knowledge of software development standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262).
- Automotive industrialization rules & manufacturing processes (End Of line, product calibrations)
- Requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
- Knowledge of Automotive technical, environmental and homologation standards (JASO, ISO, ECE, etc.)
- Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence tools)
- Analytic tools (APIS IQ) and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, FTA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
