About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join theMaintenance + AL&S team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Toluca.
 

As the Maintenance Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities in the automotive lighting industry. This role involves managing a team of maintenance professionals, implementing preventive measures, and coordinating repairs to optimize production outcomes and maintain safety standards.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Maintenance Oversight:

    • Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
    • Ensure timely repairs and reduce equipment downtime to maintain production targets.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training.
  • Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry safety standards and company policies.
    • Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to increase equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Vendor Management:

    • Coordinate with external vendors for parts, services, and support.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and manage relationships effectively.
  • Inventory Control:

    • Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure readiness and availability.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment performance, and compliance documentation.
    • Prepare reports for management that outline maintenance trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with production and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and goals.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 5 years in maintenance management within the automotive or manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in maintenance software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.

  • Manage the maintenance budget effectively, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Quickly identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize production disruptions.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide reports on equipment performance and maintenance metrics.
