About the Position:
We are looking for a Global Audit Coordinator to join the Finance team, reporting directly to the GPO RTR and External Audit Relationship Director.
This position is based at our office in Trnava.
As the Global Audit Coordinator at Marelli, you will be responsible:
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Lead Audit Transformation Initiatives: Drive the audit transformation initiated by the 2024 audit transition.
- Build on the centralized audit methodology adopted during this phase to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audits across all finance operations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and develop strategies to mitigate those risks as part of the audit transformation process.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to improve audit awareness and processes within the organization.
- Evaluate and implement audit software tools to enhance audit processes and automate routine tasks.
- Influence and drive process improvement, efficiency, standardization, and risk management for financial reporting and the consolidation process in collaboration with the relevant teams.
- Provide weekly update reports to senior management, highlighting findings and observations of key areas for improvement.
- Manage the overall relationship with senior management, internal and external stakeholders, and external auditors.
- Assist in managing the contract with the group auditor by ensuring compliance with agreed terms a coordinating audit-related activities to align with contract objectives.
- Communicate with operational areas to obtain complete and accurate responses to audit requests and findings.
- Review audit findings with management to ensure adequacy and accuracy and ensure the timeliness and comprehensiveness of responses.
- Perform and document follow-up activities related to audits, reviews, and special projects to ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to a lean team of reginal audit coordinators, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that transcends regional differences and leverages diverse perspectives for enhanced decision-making.
- Coordinate and align team objectives across all four regions, ensuring seamless communication and execution of projects, while addressing cultural nuances and time zone challenges to maintain operational efficiency and team cohesion.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA (or equivalent qualified accountant)
- Business proficiency in English (required), other language is advantage.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance project management linked to audit coordination or a related auditing role, preferably within a multinational corporation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience in managing complex finance projects linked to internal controls or audit processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with process design and implementation.
- Excellent PMO skills with a focus on results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Excellent project management and delivery capabilities. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple audits and projects simultaneously.
- Precision in ensuring accuracy in audit documentation and reports.
- Proficiency in financial management software and auditing tools; Basic working knowledge of SAP / Glovia (or other ERP Systems) and HFM (or similar).
